Our New Kershaw Centre, supports pupils with SEMH needs, who have either been permanently excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream school. More recently we have adapted our provision to meet the needs of more pupils being referred to the Radcliffe site who have SEN needs or an Education Health Care Plan.
At New Kershaw Centre Bury we have balanced and supported the transition from KS2 to KS3 and KS4 with our curriculum offer. The transitions in our KS4 offer have been catered for with the introduction of our own vocational offer.
Our curriculum offer at New Kershaw Centre Bury currently consists of the following subjects;
A pupils day starts at 8.55am with registration and finishes at 3.20pm.
A 15 minute break and a 20 minute lunch is also built into the day.
A 15 minute check-in and check-out is at the start and the end of the day.
The typical week offer for a pupil at the site is 32 hours.
